About Us
Urban Mythology was founded 21 years ago, on a love for textiles and interiors, and a desire to bring a wider choice of beautiful fabrics to Wellington homes.
We are specialists in bespoke curtains & blinds and are renowned for our range of soft furnishing fabrics, that we personally source both locally and from overseas and bring to our little boutique on Jackson Street.
Opened in 1999 by interior designer Sandy Palmer, Urban Mythology is known for its signature soft and feminine fabrics and furnishings with a Parisian touch. We also provide a tailored design service, founded on over 20 years of experience.

Since April 2013, we have had a second store.
Palmer Interiors is located in Wellington city, and together, the two stores have an extensive range of textiles.
This includes a library of fabric and wallpaper samples, lighting, bedding, cushions and furniture.
What We Do....
We provide an interior design service, tailored to your individual project. From putting together a colour scheme of paints or wallpaper, choosing fabrics for curtains or blinds, lighting, carpet, bedding and furniture, to redesigning spaces like kitchens and bathrooms, we can help you navigate the world of interiors to deliver the best outcome for your project.
We offer an in home interior design service, where we can give advice and guidance to create a comfortable and beautiful space you love to live in. Our store is a great place to visit for inspiration and a starting point for us to evaluate your specific needs.
